Principal’s Message   Principal of Deltona Elementary School

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to Deltona Elementary School! We are proud to be an inclusive, welcoming, and student-centered community where every child is valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. It is truly an honor to serve as principal of a school that places students at the heart of everything we do—prioritizing strong relationships, academic excellence, and a safe, positive environment where all learners feel connected and empowered.

At Deltona Elementary, our dedicated teachers and staff work collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of every student. We proudly serve students from VPK through 5th grade, including exceptional student education services that help meet the needs of individual learners. We take pride in providing high-quality instruction, meaningful interventions, and opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through high-quality instruction, targeted interventions, and enriching opportunities, we foster growth not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. We firmly believe that every child can succeed when surrounded by caring adults who nurture their strengths and believe in their potential. Just as importantly, we strive to create a joyful school experience where students build meaningful friendships and lasting elementary memories.

We also encourage families to play an active role in our school community. Joining our PTA or participating in the School Advisory Council (SAC) are wonderful ways to stay involved. The SAC brings together parents, educators, staff, and community members to collaborate on school improvement efforts, review goals, and provide input on school budgets. Your voice, partnership, and engagement are essential to strengthening our school and ensuring success for every student.

Thank you for being a valued part of the Deltona Elementary family.

  Your Proud Principal

Sandra Giraldo, Deltona Elementary School
